Ferret Whitetail Deer and CycleSD

What do all three these things have in common? I saw all three on my ride last weekend. Ferret and the deer on Southeastern Blvd here in Sioux Falls. The Ferret like creature came out on the bike trail I thought it was a black squirrel but the same shape. The big deer was lying down on East side of Southeastern up on a hill in the sun facing south. Met up CycleSD at Falls Park and rode out to Garretson. One sleeps well at night when they ride 50 miles and cut the grass in the same day.

Pickstown

Friends of ours have a home in a housing development just North of Pickstown . So I did the loop first Lake Andes over to Ravinia then down to Wagner and back to Pickstown about 38 miles in total a good ride before you go out on the boat. A great weekend good food good drinks and fun time with friends. On my ride I saw three deer one owl and a lot of baby pheasants.

Rode to Inwood,IA on Saturday using the FABRAD route it was a little foggy out but little wind a beautiful morning to be out.

The boys and I went for a ride on the bike trail 4 miles in total with a stop at a play ground. We saw hot air balloons and finally a picture of a one wheel cyclist aka unicyclist aka Duane.

Busy with life

Busy with life that is what I have been doing lately, went to my oldest son’s IEP meeting early this month which was changed so he qualified for summer school which starts next week. One more day of work and I will be off with for the summer. Over the long weekend went camping at Oakwood State Park caught my first fish in South Dakota. Camping was fun but work at the same time. Yesterday after unpacking the van and mowing the yard I still rode the trainer, looking forward to back on the road.

Long ride

I have been thinking about a long ride since last year. Friends of ours have a cabin down by Pickstown , SD and I would like to ride my bike there on the C&D ride this morning CycleSD and Matt both thought it was doable. Here how I would break down the ride from my house to Tea 11 miles Tea to Parker 18 miles Parker to Parkston 44 miles Parkston to Pickstown 51 miles, right around 124 miles in total. Even if I average 12 miles an hour I should arrive in the middle in the afternoon.

First road ride of the year

Rode Harlan’s annual poker run today was the first road ride of the year for me and afterward I left really well. I know what people opinions are about indoor trainer but that is the reason or it is all in my mind or a little of both. It was only 32 miles but it is a good feeling when gone on a ride and when you get home you still have the energy to play tag in the backyard with the kids.

Arms Around Autism

Riding on the trail

I really wanted to ride to Canton yesterday with the group of riders but decided I should get the boys out on the bike trail. I am very proud of my oldest son riding his bike on the trail he stays to the right and working on his takeoff and landing. When my oldest boy legs get tired he says they are barky. We all have barky legs while riding bike at some point and time. There was curly haired bike rider passed me and I knew it must be Tez. Here are some pictures

• Boys are four times more likely than girls to have autism

In talking with the President of FAB it was not good judgment on my part to paint a picture of FAB as a whole because of the action of one of the members. Deeply sorry for that and apologies to the FAB board for this and to the President in particular for trying to get people together for a fun time.

Because I can not leave a comment on Biking Brady page anymore I will have to do it here in hopes he reads my page. We have had a Wii for months and play it with my kids every night. If you get connected to the internet we should play Mario cart some night. That goes for anyone else as well. Love the cats pics and the picture of your boy at the top of your page.
