Great night on the bike trail

The boys and I went for a ride on the bike trail 4 miles in total with a stop at a play ground. We saw hot air balloons and finally a picture of a one wheel cyclist aka unicyclist aka Duane.

Busy with life

Busy with life that is what I have been doing lately, went to my oldest son’s IEP meeting early this month which was changed so he qualified for summer school which starts next week. One more day of work and I will be off with for the summer. Over the long weekend went camping at Oakwood State Park caught my first fish in South Dakota. Camping was fun but work at the same time. Yesterday after unpacking the van and mowing the yard I still rode the trainer, looking forward to back on the road.

Long ride

I have been thinking about a long ride since last year. Friends of ours have a cabin down by Pickstown , SD and I would like to ride my bike there on the C&D ride this morning CycleSD and Matt both thought it was doable. Here how I would break down the ride from my house to Tea 11 miles Tea to Parker 18 miles Parker to Parkston 44 miles Parkston to Pickstown 51 miles, right around 124 miles in total. Even if I average 12 miles an hour I should arrive in the middle in the afternoon.

First road ride of the year

Rode Harlan’s annual poker run today was the first road ride of the year for me and afterward I left really well. I know what people opinions are about indoor trainer but that is the reason or it is all in my mind or a little of both. It was only 32 miles but it is a good feeling when gone on a ride and when you get home you still have the energy to play tag in the backyard with the kids.
